Sugarhouse Monitoring Panel

During a run, an hour of lost vacuum or an overflowing tank is sap you do not get back. Know about it from wherever you are.

Remote sites are the point. A pump house a mile into the woods shows up on the same screen as the sugarhouse, with its own vacuum, tank level, temperature and power readings.

What it is

A panel, sensors and a phone app

A wall-mounted panel with vacuum, level and temperature sensors for the sugarhouse and each pump house, and a dashboard on your phone that alerts you when a reading is wrong.

Each remote pump house gets its own small panel with a cellular connection. Where there is no utility power, tell us what you run on and we will size the panel for it.

Vacuum

See a leak as a number

Vacuum at the pump and out on the mainlines, so a leak or a frozen line shows up right away.

Sap tank levels, with a warning before a tank runs over or a pump runs dry.

Pump house

Catch a freeze-up

Pump house temperature, and whether each pump and releaser is running.

Power

Know when a site is down

Utility or generator power at every site, and an alert if a panel goes quiet.

Common questions

Questions about the sugarhouse monitoring panel

Can it start and stop pumps?

Yes, as an option. Many operations start with monitoring and add pump control once they trust the readings.

How many sites can one dashboard show?

As many as you have. Each pump house and the sugarhouse appear together on one screen.

What about the off season?

The panel can stay powered to watch for freezing and power, or be shut down. Tell us how you run and we will set the monitoring plan to match.

What does it cost?

A one-time price for the panel and sensors, then a monthly monitoring fee. Both depend on how many points you want watched, so call for a quote.
